Seven Sacred Rays
An International Bilingual Retreat in Mount Shasta
October 1–9, 2026
Some places seem to call us long before we decide to visit them.
Sometimes the invitation arrives as quiet curiosity. Sometimes as a longing for stillness. Sometimes as the feeling that life is asking us to pause—not to escape it, but to experience it more deeply.
Mount Shasta has been that place for countless seekers, pilgrims, and nature lovers who have felt drawn to its extraordinary beauty and quiet presence. Whether you arrive because of its landscapes, its spiritual traditions, or simply an intuition you cannot fully explain, the mountain has a remarkable way of meeting each person exactly where they are.
This retreat was created as an opportunity to step away from the pace of everyday life and enter a space intentionally devoted to reflection, connection, and renewal. Through time in nature, guided contemplative practices, meaningful conversations, and shared moments of silence, we invite you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience Mount Shasta with openness and presence.
The Seven Sacred Rays provide the spiritual inspiration for this journey, offering a timeless framework for exploring qualities such as wisdom, compassion, inner strength, and conscious living. Yet this retreat is not about adopting a particular belief system. It is about creating space for your own experience to unfold naturally, in a welcoming environment where curiosity is honored and every path is respected.
Every gathering, meditation, ceremony, and teaching is offered in both English and Spanish, allowing participants from different cultures to share one meaningful experience while expressing themselves comfortably in their own language.
If something within these words feels familiar, perhaps your journey has already begun.
We would be honored to welcome you to Mount Shasta.

Why this retreat
Every retreat begins with a simple question: What kind of space allows people to truly reconnect with themselves?
Over the years, we've found that meaningful transformation rarely comes from acquiring more information. More often, it begins when life becomes quiet enough for us to listen—to our intuition, to nature, and to the deeper wisdom that is often drowned out by the pace of everyday life. The Seven Sacred Rays Retreat was created with that intention.
Rather than offering answers, we seek to create the conditions where insight can arise naturally. Through thoughtful guidance, contemplative practices, time in nature, shared meals, and meaningful conversation, each element of the retreat has been carefully woven together to support reflection, presence, and authentic human connection.
The spiritual inspiration for this journey comes from the timeless teachings of the Seven Sacred Rays—universal qualities that have been honored in many wisdom traditions as expressions of love, wisdom, courage, compassion, harmony, devotion, and conscious service.
Whether these teachings are familiar to you or entirely new, they serve simply as a gentle framework for personal exploration. Your own experience remains at the heart of the journey.
Above all, this retreat was created with great care. Not to offer certainty, but to offer space. A space where you can slow down, breathe deeply, reconnect with what matters most, and perhaps return home carrying something that words alone cannot fully describe.
Mount Shasta
There are places in the world that leave a lasting impression not because of what they offer us, but because of how they invite us to be. For many people, Mount Shasta is one of those places.
Rising gracefully above Northern California, the mountain has inspired explorers, artists, scientists, Indigenous traditions, and spiritual seekers for generations. Its forests, alpine lakes, waterfalls, volcanic landscapes, and expansive skies create an atmosphere that naturally encourages stillness, reflection, and wonder.
Many visitors are drawn here by the mountain's long-standing spiritual reputation. Others come simply because they feel an unexplainable connection to this extraordinary landscape. Whatever brings someone here, the mountain has a remarkable way of meeting each person differently.
For our family, Mount Shasta is more than the setting for this retreat—it is home. Living here throughout the year has given us the privilege of developing a deep relationship with the land and its changing seasons. The places we visit during the retreat have not been selected from a travel guide. They have become part of our daily life, our contemplative practice, and our ongoing relationship with this remarkable mountain.
Rather than rushing from one destination to another, we invite you to experience Mount Shasta slowly. To listen to the wind moving through the pines. To pause beside the water without needing to arrive anywhere else. To discover that sometimes the most meaningful moments are the quietest ones.
The mountain asks very little of us. Only that we arrive with presence.

How the Journey Unfolds
Transformation rarely happens all at once. More often, it unfolds quietly—through moments that may seem simple at first: a conversation that lingers in the heart, the stillness of a forest, the sound of flowing water, the warmth of sharing a meal, or the unexpected clarity that arrives when we finally allow ourselves to slow down.
This retreat has been thoughtfully designed to honor that natural rhythm. Each day gently builds upon the one before, creating space for reflection, discovery, and integration without the need to rush toward a particular outcome. There is time to learn, time to experience, time to rest, and just as importantly, time to simply be.
As the days unfold, the Seven Sacred Rays become quiet companions rather than abstract ideas. Their timeless qualities—love, wisdom, harmony, courage, devotion, service, and inner freedom—are explored not only through teachings, but through lived experience.
There is no expectation that every participant will walk away with the same insights. Some may discover renewed clarity. Others may reconnect with a long-forgotten sense of peace. Some may simply remember what it feels like to be fully present. Each journey is unique. That is part of its beauty.
By the end of our time together, our hope is not that you leave with all the answers, but that you return home with a deeper relationship to yourself, to nature, and to the quiet inner wisdom that continues to guide long after the retreat has ended.
The Practices
Every element of this retreat has been chosen with intention. Rather than filling each day with constant activity, we seek a balanced rhythm that allows meaningful experiences to arise naturally. Moments of learning are followed by time for reflection. Shared conversations are balanced with silence. Time in nature is complemented by contemplative practices that help integrate what has been experienced throughout the day.
Our journey together includes guided meditations, sacred ceremonies, teachings inspired by the Seven Sacred Rays and the ascended masters, visits to some of Mount Shasta's most inspiring natural locations, periods of quiet reflection, journaling, and opportunities for heartfelt dialogue within a supportive community. Nature itself becomes one of our greatest teachers. Ancient forests, mountain trails, waterfalls, lakes, portals and open skies invite a different pace—one that gently reminds us how to observe, listen, and simply be present.
Meals also become part of the experience. Sharing food around the table offers opportunities for connection, conversation, and community, allowing relationships to grow as naturally as the days themselves. Throughout the retreat, there is no expectation to perform, achieve, or become someone different. You are simply invited to arrive as you are. From that place, whatever wishes to unfold can do so in its own time.

A day in the retreat
Imagine waking to the quiet rhythm of Mount Shasta. Morning light filters through the trees as the mountain slowly comes alive. The air is crisp, the pace unhurried, and for a little while there is nowhere else you need to be.
Our days begin gently. After breakfast, we gather for meditation, reflection, and the day's teachings before setting out to experience some of the mountain's most inspiring natural places. Whether walking beside an alpine lake, standing beneath ancient trees, or pausing beside flowing water, every destination is chosen not simply for its beauty, but for the atmosphere it offers.
There is always space to pause. To breathe. To notice. To allow the landscape to become part of the experience rather than simply a place we visit.
Afternoons invite a slower rhythm, offering opportunities for personal reflection, journaling, meaningful conversations, or quiet moments of rest before we gather again as a group.
As evening arrives, the mountain reveals a different kind of beauty. Shared meals, contemplative practices, and moments of connection bring each day to a gentle close, allowing the experiences of the day to settle naturally before another begins.
No two days are exactly alike. Yet each one carries the same invitation: To be fully present.

Your Hosts in Mount Shasta
When we welcome someone into a retreat, we are welcoming them into a place that has become part of our own daily lives. Our family has made Mount Shasta home, and it is here that The Quantum Light has gradually grown through years of study, meditation, ceremony, and a deep relationship with this extraordinary mountain.
Rather than simply guiding visits to beautiful locations, we invite participants to experience Mount Shasta through the eyes of those who live here—walking familiar trails, sharing places that have become personally meaningful, and creating space for conversations that often continue long after the day's activities have ended.
The retreat is facilitated by Clara, co-founder of The Quantum Light, whose work brings together contemplative practice, spiritual study, and years of experience guiding individuals and groups through transformative journeys in Mount Shasta.
Alongside her is her husband, Spencer, whose quiet presence, creativity, and love for music help shape the welcoming atmosphere that has become a hallmark of every retreat. Together, our intention is simple:
To create a space where every participant feels genuinely welcomed, thoughtfully supported, and free to experience the journey in their own way. We look forward to sharing a little piece of our home with you.
An Invitation Home

Not every journey begins with certainty.
Sometimes it begins with a quiet feeling that there may be something waiting to be discovered.
If, as you've read these words, you have found yourself imagining the mountain, wondering what it might feel like to spend a few days immersed in its forests, lakes, and silence, perhaps the next step is simply a conversation.
We would be delighted to meet you.
Rather than asking you to make a decision today, we invite you to schedule a complimentary conversation with us. It is an opportunity to introduce ourselves, answer your questions, learn a little about your journey, and explore together whether this retreat feels like the right experience for you.
There is no expectation and no pressure. Sometimes a conversation simply brings clarity. And if the time feels right, we would be honored to welcome you to Mount Shasta. After all, every meaningful journey begins with a first hello.
Stories from the Heart
Every retreat is experienced differently. Some participants return home with renewed clarity. Others speak of meaningful friendships, unexpected insights, or a deeper connection with themselves and with nature. No two journeys are ever the same. Rather than describing the experience in our own words, we invite you to hear directly from those who have walked this path before you.
