OCÉANO

Connection with Cetacean Consciousness. Costa Rica | Retreat | September 2027

Lee esto en español

There are beings we encounter in nature, and there are beings we somehow recognize.

Every year, in the last days of summer, they arrive at this corner of the planet. Not by chance, and not for the first time — they have been returning to this stretch of Pacific water since before there were coastlines to return to, since before the Earth wore its current shape. They come to give birth. To sing. To pass down, calf to calf, whatever they carry.

You don't need to understand what that is. You only need to feel it.

This is where we'll meet them: five days in Costa Rica, where black volcanic sand still holds the memory of the fire that shaped it. Where warm water calls one of the oldest migrations on the globe home, year after year.

Mornings belong to the ocean: unhurried, waiting to see what surfaces. And what happens in between — waterfalls, the seafloor, the long afternoons — is room to breathe. Space for whatever was stirred to settle.

You don't need a reason beyond wanting to be near them. Whatever is true for you will still be true when you arrive. The water keeps it, either way.

What we'll do

Five days move like this: unhurried, uncluttered, but moving toward something real.

You'll arrive, and nothing will be asked of you yet — a welcome dinner, a first evening together, the calm of Costa Rica settling into you before anything else does.

Then our ocean mornings begin. Three times across the five days. We'll go out before the sun has finished waking — the water still holding the color of dawn — into the range where whales and dolphins move on their own calendar, far older than ours. No boat can promise anything in a realm where the ocean decides. What the sea does offer, it offers generously, in this stretch of Pacific, in this particular week of the year.

One afternoon slows even further: a waterfall, met gently, asking nothing difficult of the body — water meeting water, one more form of the same element finding you where you are.

Then, one day, we'll welcome something much larger. One of the three mornings folds into a full day at sea, ending at Tortuga Island — white sand, clear water, a guided pass beneath the surface with masks and bright fish, an unhurried lunch, hours belonging to the tide rather than a schedule.

Around all of it — before the mornings and after them, in the long afternoons that ask nothing — there is room. An absence of "things," which is not an oversight. It's where whatever the ocean touched deeply gets real space to settle. And then, it's yours to choose: a massage, a walk through the garden, or simply closing your eyes.

The fifth morning closes the way the first one opened: gently. One last gathering, a farewell brunch, and then the return. You'll carry home, we suspect, far more than you brought.

Where you'll be

Amanti Resort is an exclusive boutique hotel where the jungle ends and the Pacific begins, in Playa Hermosa, about ninety minutes from San José. The sand is dark because it remembers being fire once — this whole coastline is made from what the earth used to be, underneath.

For the five days we're here, Amanti belongs only to us. No other guests, no shared lobby, no negotiating the pool with strangers — just our group, the resort's staff, and whatever wildlife decides to show up on its own schedule. Scarlet macaws and toucans tend to arrive at breakfast uninvited, feathers and color radiating pure joy.

The colors of the sky aren't a backdrop. They're part of what these five days are actually made of.

Who's waiting for you

Co-facilitator: Spencer Clayton

A musician and sound alchemist. He holds an English-language mystery school where he teaches the Law of One through deep, private one-on-one encounters. His calm presence and reflective perspective bring depth to the retreat experience. His path took a profound turn when, while contemplating the Pleiades star cluster, he spoke a single sentence aloud: "I just want to know!" What followed was a personal experience that awakened claircognizance in him — a new way of perceiving reality.

Since then, he has explored the relationship between consciousness, sound, and inner transformation with humility and an open heart. Throughout the retreat, Spencer will support Clara and the group through meaningful conversation, shared experiences in nature, and moments of presence and silence.

Facilitator: Clara Clayton

Author of The Cetacean-Arcturian Healing Protocol and Los Códigos del Origen (Amazon Kindle), Clara is a retreat facilitator, multidimensional guide, channel, and Law of One instructor. After founding Pausa Meditation Studio in Santiago, Chile, she has devoted herself to creating experiences of deep immersion that invite greater presence, self-discovery, and real inner transformation.

Her retreats weave together meditation, nature, sacred sites, contemplative practice, and the timeless principles of unity and service. Rather than offering answers through her psychic gifts, Clara creates spaces where each participant can reconnect with their own inner wisdom. Creator of the group Cita con la Ascensión (2018), she believes every meaningful journey begins with presence. She lives in Mount Shasta, California, at the foot of a sacred mountain that is her primary teacher.

What to know

  • Pace. Ocean mornings are not physically demanding — boarding the boat, watching, waiting. The one waterfall visit is deliberately relaxed. Nothing here requires a particular level of fitness.

  • Meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included throughout, along with a welcome meal on arrival and a farewell brunch on the last morning.

  • Transport during the retreat. Included for all activities. We'll have a private minibus for our group.

  • Getting here. Amanti is about ninety minutes from Costa Rica's San José international airport. Airport transfers available on request.

  • Group size. Limited to 12 people.

  • How to reserve your place. A $1,111 deposit secures your spot — see Investment Options below for how the rest of the payment works.

Questions worth asking

Do I need to already believe something specific to participate?

No. Some arrive already familiar with particular traditions around cetaceans, Lemuria, or Sirius. Others have never heard of any of it — they simply love whales and dolphins. Full stop. Nothing more is required.

I'm a little nervous about going alone...

Believe me: you're not the only one who feels that way — most people arrive without knowing anyone else in the group. But twelve people is a small enough number that this stops mattering almost immediately. You just need to listen to your heart and show up.

Is this for everyone?

Yes. OCÉANO isn't limited by gender or by any particular spiritual tradition.

What's the average age?

Across all our previous retreats, in Mount Shasta and beyond, the average age has fallen between 35 and 65. But we hold no age limit. The right group always seems to arrange itself perfectly.

Does this replace therapy or medical care?

No. OCÉANO offers space for reflection, rest, and encounter — it's not a substitute for medical or mental health care. If you're currently working with a therapist or physician, we encourage you to loop them in on this journey.

Will you help me plan my trip?

Yes. Once you've reserved your place, we'll help you think through flights, arrival timing, navigating the airport, transportation, and anything else — including insurance recommendations for your trip, or suggestions on where to stay if you'd like to arrive a few days early or extend your stay.

Is alcohol allowed?

Great question. This is an alcohol-free retreat — we're aiming to keep our physical vessel in tune with the sea, the whales, and the dolphins. Without outside interference.

A short note

"The happiness of the bee and the dolphin is to exist. For man it is to know that and to wonder at it." — Jacques-Yves Cousteau

Stories from the heart

Every retreat is lived differently. Some participants return home describing a profound opening. Others speak of meaningful friendships, unexpected revelations, or a deeper connection with themselves, their higher self, or nature. No two journeys are the same. Rather than describe the experience in our own words, we invite you to hear it directly from those who've walked this path before.
